Northwest Wisconsin Lakes Conference June 18, 2010 at Drummond High School

Craven, well known wildlife expert and
regular guest on Wisconsin
Public Radio, will be keynote speaker
at the Northwest
Wisconsin Lakes Conference to be held at Drummond High School on Friday June 18, 2010.
The
conference program features state and regional experts addressing the economics
of invasive species, the science behind shoreland buffers and invasive species
containment strategies.Other
presentations cover low water issues, lake management, geologic history of
lakes and updates on the recently revised NR 115 shoreland protection
rules.The Northwest Wisconsin Waters
Consortium will hold its annual
meeting in conjunction with the conference.
This
lakes symposium is a great opportunity to network with area lake group
representatives, volunteers and decision makers from public and private
organizations.Over twenty non profit
and business exhibitors will showcase their projects, resources and services.
The $45 registration fee
includes program materials, a continental breakfast, refreshments and box lunch.The
doors open at 7:30 am and the program concludes at 3 pm.
