Northwest Wisconsin Lakes Conference

The Northwest Wisconsin Lakes Conference will be held at Spooner High School in Hayward, WI on Friday June 24, 2015.

The conference program features state and regional experts addressing aquatic invasive species, using mapping tools, lake legislative updates, conservation easements, lake grants, attracting wildlife, algae in your lake, CB-CW update, lake projects that work, loon status update, frogs in your lake and many more. The Northwest Wisconsin Waters Consortium will hold its annual meeting during the lunch break at this conference.

This lakes symposium is a great opportunity to network with area lake groups, volunteers and decision makers from public and private organizations. Over twenty non-profit and business exhibitors will showcase their projects, resources and services. Display space is now available.

The $45 registration fee includes program materials, continental breakfast, refreshments and lunch. The doors open at 8 a.m. and the program concludes at 3. Students who pre-register attend FREE.

If you’ve never attended this exceptional event, now’s the best time. You’ll be glad you did! If you miss this year, plan on attending in 2016. Bring a friend or the whole family to the best summer lakes conference in the Midwest!

“If we are not willing to prepare today’s youth to be tomorrow’s lake caretakers, then our present efforts, however noble, are of little value to the future of our lakes.”

Lake Associations asked to help!

This year we are asking every lake association to make a special effort to send at least two officers and at least two students to this conference. Large lake associations should send more. The NWLC Planning Committee is offering a special FREE registration fee for students who register in advance.
