BCLF has partnered with the Wisconsin Shoreland Initiative to reverse the irresponsible legislation passed by Govenor Walker’s team of anti-conservationist legislators who threaten our lakes, streams, and the property values of all waterfront owners.

They’ve taken away local control of shoreland zoning from our counties and introduced bills to allow ATV use of the litoral (near-shore) zone, mining of our lakebeds, and rampant dredging of lakes by developers with no DNR oversight.

What’s next? We expect more anti-conservation, anti-waterfront owner bills to be introduced in January. That’s why BCLF has partnered with WSI whose attorneys and lobbyists will fight in the statehouse for protection of our lakes. See more on WSI at https://wisconsinshoreland.org/
